AIM to be the first to write out the Bible verse and its reference.

 

PLAYERS 2 or more

 

NEEDED card, pen, ruler, scissors, playing cards without Jokers, papers/pencils, box or bag

 

HOW TO MAKE

1. Make a Guide by writing out the Bible verse and its reference on

card. Cut out.

 

2. Make a Key by writing the following on to card, then cut out - KEY

4 my

5 Shepherd

6 I

7 have

8 everything

9 need

10 Psalm 23 : 1

 

3. Label box or bag and put playing cards, Guide, Key and playing instructions inside.

 

HOW TO PLAY

1. Place the Guide and the Key where players can see them.

2. Shuffle the playing cards and place face down on playing area.

3. Give players papers and pencils. On the top of their papers, players write either RED or BLACK, depending on what colour they choose.

4. Players have turns to lift top card off Pack. If card shows a number from 1 - 10, and is of the player’s chosen colour, player refers to the

Key then writes down the corresponding word on paper, trying to place

it according to the Guide. If the card shows a Jack, Queen or King of

player’s chosen colour, he/she refers to Key and follows instructions:

a Jack means "no turn this time"

a Queen means "choose any word from the Key and write it down"

a King means "write down the reference if you have not already done so"

Player places playing card at bottom of Pack, and turn is over.

5. If card is not of player’s chosen colour, player places it at bottom

of Pack and turn is over.

6. If card indicates a word already written by player on paper, player

places it at bottom of Pack and turn is over.

7. The first player to write out the verse with its reference wins.

8. Players read out loud the verse and its reference together.
