Cronin of Drimoleague and Australia.

My great-great-grandmother was MARGARET CRONIN born about 1830 in the Drimoleague/Bantry area and died at Drimoleague 7 March 1925. She married Daniel Mahoney about 1850 and they lived at Castledonovan and Garranes North, Drimoleague.

Daniel and Margaret had 8 children. Their eldest was JEREMIAH born 1853. Jeremiah went to Dowlais, Wales in the 1870s and married Ellen Donoghue in Dowlais in 1874. Ellen was also from the Drimoleague area. Jeremiah and Ellen arrived in Australia in 1876.

Looking at the naming patterns of the children of Margaret Cronin and Daniel Mahoney I wonder if Margaret Cronin was the daughter of a DENIS CRONIN. I was told that Margaret came from a townland towards Bantry.

Please can anyone help in any way.
