• She met CORNELIUS CRONIN April 07, 1907 in Brockton Mass., son of JAMES CRONIN and JULIA LEARY. He died March 11, 1946 in Boston, MA

• Known to us as Aunt Katie and Uncle Corn
• Lived on Montello St. next to fire station
• Christening: July 23, 1871
• Occupation: Shoe operative

• His family came from Kealkel, near Bantry, Co. Cork, moved to Lyrenageeha.
• Obituary notice 2 nephews, John J.Cronin of Police Dept., Jeremiah Cronin.
• Marie Cronin Jones, a relative reports it was understood there was no relationship between the 2 Cronin's that married, Catherine and Cornelius, confirmed by cousin Sheila from Blackrock, Co. Cork.
• Burial: March 14, 1946, Calvary Cemetary Brockton,MA

• Tim Cronin was a boarder at Elliott St. and was Best Man at his wedding to Catherine Kelleher
• Cause of death Cancer of stomach was strongly objected to by daughter Catherine who was a nurse. She said he was bedridden and his illness resembled that of his son James.
• Obituary notice said he died at home, 69 Wyman St., had been ill for some time.

Bev and Claire Cronin visited the Kelleher homestead in Ireland in 1958. It was a farm in Aharas, a townland within 1/2 mile of Bawntemple just north of Ballingeary village. The Irish historical society gave us that information after being told Aharas did not exist. It was a rustic farmhouse, no screens on windows and the chickens ran in and out of house. They cooked over the open hearth and served us Irish whiskey, tea with all the trimmings. There were 3 brothers and families, Cornelius, Seamus, and John. I would have to guess they are the descendents of Jeremiah who remained in Ireland.
