Thanks to Patrick Carter for most of these photos.
The pastel portraits belong to a descendant of Jean Le Gallais and Eliza Le Bailly. They have now been identified as Eliza's parents, Josué and Magdelaine Le Bailly (born Le Vavasseur dit Durell) of Jersey, Channel Islands. Josué was born 1781 and died 1846, and Magdelaine was born 1783 and died 1863
The pictures are signed 'C.S. Le Bailly 1848' (woman) and 'C.S. Le Bailly 1844' (man). C.S. Le Bailly is very likely Charles Le Bailly, Eliza's first cousin, and an artist.

The pastels above appear to have been based on the following two pictures.
