RAINBOW VALLEY AND THE CAVE OF THE ADZE

This is an example of a painted high relief carving.

The areas are built up with pieces of custom wood, and then carved and sanded smooth. The cloud detail below the rainbow is an example of low relief carving. The layers here have only one mm difference. The adze is carved out of bone.

I have chosen this literal interpretation because the Spiritual aspect appeals to me.

The more likely explanation is that the valley, from the heights of a certain location looks like the shape of an adze.
