And now all was about to begin again. From the wreckage of the
old world a new world was born. When Papa the Earth
Mother reappeared she would not be
separated from Rangi the Sky Father. Together they created a new
generation of Gods and Spirit Beings ; a whole supernatural world . |

Here, in the tight space between Rangi and Papa is the swirling of
creative spiritual energy, originating from their separate sources. The
intermingling of the male and female energy created their children. |

On the other side of the world, a new young land
emerged above the surrounding sea. Two supernatural, bird like creatures
emerged. One is the Manaia, looking after the Maori interests. The other
is a phoenix, looking after the latecomers interest. Both share the same
ancestors, those souls that took shelter in the universal tree Yggdrasil. |

But there was not enough room. The
Gods had to crawl in a confined dark space and they longed for freedom and
light. Tane, the God of Forests, strained against his parents like a giant
tree, slowly separating them, because they were unwilling. They wanted to
stay together in their tight, loving embrace, and cared not for the light.
Tane was the stronger, and so they were sent apart, and the darkness was
made manifest, and so was the light. |
