12. Dr John Arthur (Sunny) Thomas
I was born in 1937 at Bombay. We came back to Bangalore in 1944 and from there I went to school and then College at Loyola College, Madras and CMC Vellore for Medicine.. At. Vellore I did my postgraduate studies in
Pathology . I returned to Bangalore in 1966 and became the Professor and Head on Pathology at St. John’s Medical College. My wife, Manorama is also at Bangalore and is my batch- mate at Vellore. She is an Anatomist and a Human Geneticist. She was the Professor and Head of Anatomy and Div. of Human Genetics at St John’s We are both now Emeritus Professors at St. John’s. I had a 7 year interlude [1993-2000]at Brunei where I worked in their Health Services.
David who is a BHM ( in Hotel Management) and holds a Masters in Human Resource Management from the
Business School at the University of Leeds. He is 23 and is working at the Personnel Department of the Manipal Hospital , Bangalore.
