Missionary Journals

Recently I viewed the movie 'Gods Army' which gave ( I thought) a very acurate view of what it is like to be a Mormon Missionary. Complete with both the antics of teenage boys and the inspiration and great courage of men of God. I saw in its story, my own experiences of heartache and overwhelming joy. It certainly had a great impact on me. So much so that I asked the typists at work if (in their spare time) they wouldn't mind preserving a peice of my life that had such a profound effect on me. They unselfishly gave of their down time to bring this goal to pass. Thankyou Tili and Marilyn!

I kept 3 Journals during my time as a missionary in Auckland New Zealand from 1991 - 1993, I served in 5 different areas (my last area being the same as my first) and had 10 companions. I saw miracles on a daily basis, hearts were touched and lives changed, particularly my own. I made wonderful life long friends, one of whom became my wife 3 years later. I hope that my journal can be an inspiration and also a thanks for so many who supported me both financially and emotionally. Reading back over my journals in preperation to present them here, I realise how many people, gave so much love, to keep me close to the Spirit. I could not have done it without you.
