Jean Hall "working" at her lace pillow

Jean Lillia Hall (nee Stanley) was born, educated, trained in dressmaking, design & pattern making, working in Christchurch, New Zealand.

She married Brian in 1963. With their three children, (Michelle, Andrea & Martyn) they shifted to the Nelson region in 1976, to continue their farming interests, they now have seven grandchildren.

Jean has a keen interest in sheep breeding, arts, garden and many types of hand-work. Lace making has lead to an interest in the history of textiles this has lead her to preserve a collection of antique laces and associated items. This forms Lillia's Lace Museum.
