Meet Minty.

Minty is a 1963 MK1 850 with only 2 previous owners. Sadly, as you can see he has had a bit of shunt from behind, the result of which is a squashed rear and a bent front end. On the plus side the bodywork appears to be relatively rust free and as far as we can tell so far the main chassis appears to be straight.

This happened in 1992 when Fay, Minty's previous owner was on her way home. Fay got Minty home and parked him up in the garage with a promise from her husband Ray that he would fix the car. Despite Ray's best intentions this didn't happen.

Roll forward to 2003 and I get a call asking if I would like a mini as they were moving to a smaller house and they needed the space. Well, you have to don't you? Besides, the car was free as long as I promised that he wouldn't be scrapped.

I'll do my best to keep that promise.
