Directed by Colin McColl

Produced by Auckland Theatre Company

Set & lighting design by Tony Rabbit

Costume design by Elizabeth Whiting

Sound design by John Gibson

"The minimal set and lighting by Tony Rabbit and costumes by Elizabeth Whiting create a visual drama.  The stage floor covered in black sand was a cross between ashes and velvet and the red and black costumes give a rich physicality" John

Daly-Peoples - National Business Review

"Costumes in black and scarlet - a foreboding of the blood to spill - signal crucial differences in status; a mix of period and modern dress reinforces the enduring themes of gender, justice and morality" - Natasha Hay - Listener

Equus

Produced by Auckland Theatre Company

Set Design by John Parker

Lighting Design by Phil Dexter

Sound design by John Gibson

Costume Design by Elizabeth Whiting

"The horses are played by six actors with bare torsos and tight leather pants which emphasis thighs and hind-quarters.  Their feet are encased in giant hooves that give them height and a distinctive clop.  It's a masterful effect that conveys equine scale and the animalistic eroticism at the play's heart." Gilbert Wong - New Zealand Herald

"Every human being should see this play" Wendy Phillips - Baldwins

THIS DESIGN HAS BEEN ACCEPTED FOR THE PRAGUE QUADRENNIAL 2007

"Costumes are by Elizabeth Whiting and perfectly catch the work's theme of golden rolling hills and tussock and fresh green new shoots" - Bernadette Rae - New Zealand Herald
