112. James Beck mr

Both James & Eliza lived before they were married in Irish Steet Richhill
James and Eliza Beck were married in Richill Armagh Ireland in 2/12/1864, James was aged 18. and he lived in Richhill a post-town in that part of the parish of Kilmore, which is in the barony of O'Neilland West, country of Armagh, 4 miles E by N from Armagh and 64 miles N by W from Dublin on the old road from Armagh to Belfast: containing 937 inhabitants in 1837. The town is situated on the river Tallwater, in the
heart of a rich abeccultural and populous manufacturing district, and from its elevated situation has an interesting
appearance. They came out from Ireland in The Jessie Osbourne setting off on 6th Nov 1875, and arrived in
Lyttleton on 30th January 1876 With them were Annie age 10, William, aged 7, Margaret 4 and Thomas 3mths. What happened to Margaret and Thomas? were they the children that were reported sick and died on broad the Jessie Osborn.
James' cousins Adam and Lucinda and aunty Ann nee Falloon were alreay in Christchurch having come out in 1873. James Beck was born in 1845 died Oct 1902 buried at Naseby, father Charles Beck, mother Margaret Proctor. buried in 181 plots 5 & 7 in Naseby Cemetery. The Head Stone reads "James
& Eliza Beck za Jane a 38 years Ireland-Nsby Wife of James Int 22 Feb 1885 James a 57 years Eng-Nsby Int 28 Oct 1902 miner Arthur 2 mths Int 4 Jan 1909 Jessie 7 weeks Int 23 Aug 1918 Margaret 2 mths Int 20 Jan 1910 William Beck a 81 Int 12 Sept 1949 Ranfurly Hospital.


Eliza Jane Nisbitt miss

. They came out from Ireland in The Jessie Osbourne leaving 6th Nov 1875 and arriving in 1876
Eliza Jane Beck Died 20th February 1886 aged 38 in Naseby The death registry shows Under Causes of death "Verdict of Jury " Died from Heart Disease" (Had been drinking) " Family tradition as it that she deid has result of falling into the gutter outside the hotel.
The only records I could find of Nisbitt in Rich Hill were on 17 Nov 1865 a William George
Nisbett Married a Sophia McDowell in Rich Hill, and on 11th of Nov 1865 a William Nesbitt was born, the registration shows George Nesbitt father and Sophia McDowell Mother, then on 21st Dec 1866 a William Joseph to William George Nesbitt and Sophia McDowell. On Griffith's Valuation shows Nesbitt living in Irish St.
