Walking Mac Introducing Lisa, David, and Grant

Welcome to Wellington, New Zealand. The city always has fresh air, a great climate with just the right amount of rain and sunshine.

This web site contains free desktop pictures and shareware I have authored. I encourage you to take a look at the shareware, try it, test it, and buy it especially if you think it is worthwhile. Also available are some free desktop pictures that I have personally taken.

If you have some suggestions for software you would like to see written, please drop me an e-mail.

USB Missile Launcher NZ v1.4.11 - Updated 2 June 2008 - Universal Binary

Download USB Missile Launcher v1.4.11 [2.4MB]

Note: this version requires Mac OS 10.4 and above. For a version that functions under 10.3.9 (and 10.2.8) use the v1.3.3 or v1.3.4 release. See below for details.

What
USB Missile Launcher NZ can be used to control a USB Missile Launcher. As shipped the included software is only for Windows, now Mac users can control the Launcher.

Why
Myself and Glenn Anderson purchased a USB Rocket Launcher each. We already knew that it did not come with Mac OS drivers or software and took the opportunity to fill the gap. Glenn wrote the Mac OS X driver after getting things to work under OS 9. He also wrote a keyboard based program to move the turret and fire.
I've taken Glenn's code and built and Cocoa / Objective-C program with Graphical User Interface. Ideas for look and feel have come from around the globe, see references below. The source code has been included with this distribution.

LogoSaver v1.8 - Updated 2 June 2008 - Mac OS 10.5.x only

Download LogoSaver v1.8 [300k]

Logo Saver is a screen saver module for Mac OS X that displays text randomly over your screen, you can choose to fix the text colour and font/size or have the text colour change randomly. It also displays a picture of your choice and can optionally float that over the screen while bouncing off the edges of the screen. You can also choose to have the text swap for the picture and vice versa - a timer is provided for this functionality.

Item of interest: The default photograph included with this distribution was taken on an Olympus C2000Z digital camera (2 MegaPixels). The photograph was taken January/February 2000 on Waikawa Beach. Just South of Levin in the North Island of New Zealand. Kapiti Island can be seen in the distance as the picture looks out across the Tasman sea.

This software can be Purchased securely from Kagi. Purchase from my online internet store (Kagi) - Click here.

Below is the Logo Saver configuration screen. There are many configurable options.
