Getting to Devenport Estate, Korokoro

We are very easy to find whether you come by car or train.

[1] - Directions if coming from the North - SH1

Keep driving South on State Highway 1 and drive down as if you were going to Wellington. Just before the Wellington Motorway starts - at the bottom of the Nguaranga Gorge, turn LEFT and follow the signs to the HUTT VALLEY on State Highway 2. At the first set of traffic lights on State Highway 2 turn LEFT to KOROKORO - the lights are about 10 kms from the bottom of the Nguaranga Gorge.

Now follow my instructions in section [3]

[2] - Directions if coming from the South - SH1

Drive north out of Wellington on State Highway 1 and follow the signs to the HUTT VALLEY/State Highway 2. Keep right when the Motorway branches into State Highway 1 [North] and State Highway 2 [Petone/Hutt Valley]. At the first set of traffic lights on State Highway 2 turn LEFT to KOROKORO - the lights are about 10 kms from the end of the Motorway and start of State Highway 2.

Now follow my instructions in section [3]

[3] Directions from the Korokoro/Petone Traffic Lights - SH2

From the Korokoro traffic lights immediately take the left turn into Korokoro Road. Devenport Estate is on the fifth bend on Korokoro Road. It is the first house on the left of Korokoro Road, being opposite Number 30. Even though we are number 1 Korokoro Road, we are a wee way up Korokoro Road. Don't be put off by the house numbers on the right-hand side of the road!

There are two letter boxes at the top of the drive - 1 and 3, and the name DEVENPORT is on the fence.

Please bring your car down the drive onto the section, there is plenty of off-street parking. Walk through the Lychgate and press the front door bell where a warm Wellington welcome awaits you!

Directions if coming by train to Devenport - courtesy pick-up from Petone Station

Our local station - Petone Station is only a 10 minute train ride from Wellington, and is only a ten minute walk down Korokoro Hill from Devenport. Trains leave Wellington Railway Station every half hour on the Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt/Melling and Taita Lines - MAKE SURE IT SAYS THAT IT STOPS AT ALL STATIONS. Petone Station is the third stop from Wellington.
