Snow Terrain

Over the past few weeks I've been busy make snow terrain. So far I've made seven boards (each 2ftx4ft) using polystyrene. Here are a few pictures of them.

1: A 6ft square table.

A top down view of the bunker complex. The roofs of each of the bunkers can come off (as is the case in the centre bunker).

A view of attacking Soviet tanks and infantry.

A view from ground level. A pak 40 waits in the bunker.

Here they come. Soviets swarm forward. One of the KVs has broken through the ice and sunk.

A close up of the Soviet infantry. Note my markings on the back of each base (makes it easier for me to tell which unit is which :). The barbed wire is made by coiling 2 strands of fly-screen mesh together and then wrapping it around a pencil. Quick and effective and looks reasonable.!

KV1Es support the attack.

Another view looking towards the German positions.

And the T34s.

Tank riders  (made from SMG figures) defend the T34s.

Another view of the trench linking the bunkers.

A view of the river where 4 boards meet (hence the lines). Note the marsh: the PVA (white glue) I used to fill it is still drying :)
