Contacting St. Francis’ Hospital

The easiest means of contacting the hospital is by email: stfrhosp@zamnet.zm. The Executive Director is Dr. Shelagh Parkinson. Difficulties with the Internet in Zambia mean that the email is only checked a couple times a week. On occasions the connection will be down for longer periods – so plan well ahead and be patient.

The hospital can also be contacted by post at:

St. Francis' Hospital, Private Bag 11, Katete, Zambia.
The hospital is always in demand by students and accommodation is limited, so prospective students should start trying to arrange things about a year in advance. SFH also requires a copy of the prospective student’s curriculum vitae together with a letter of reference from the student’s medical school. SFH has a policy of only accepting students who plan to stay for six weeks or more.
