I purchased this vehicle in 1998 as a doer up, not knowing at the time it was ex-army. Thus lighting something that has always been of interest....military vehicles. This one is English assembled as a Fitted for Wireless. The differences between this and most of the early NZ Army Rovers is that the others are Australian assembled and have 'square cut' front wheel arches, amongst other small things. The English vehicles have extended front spring hangers (so sit higher), and have the characteristic military front and rear bumperettes. There are probably less than a dozen of these vehicles left in NZ. A number served in Singapore, but were sold off in Perth a few years ago. Refer to REMLR site (NZ Series 2A FFW 109 -REMLR) for another of these NZ Rovers that was owned by Barry Ford.
