n.z natives
We have many
New Zealand native trees and plants on our property as it was once a N.Z.
native plant nursery.
Below is a photo
of Cordyline Australis(cabbage tree)in full flower and Pseudowintera corolata(pepper
tree) which has strongly aromatic foliage when crushed.
There are two main
types of Phoriums here and below are two photos of the most common. The
easy way to tell the difference between the two is Phorium Cookainium has
droopy foliage and Phorium Tenax has straight foliage.
hebe parviflora
solanum aviculare
(koromiko)
(poru poru)
astelia nervosa
cordyline australis
and phorium tenax
purperea
pittosporum euginoides hebe macrocarpa
We have many new
zealand native grasses in our garden and they self seed profusely so we
have many to spread around to other parts of the garden. They look great
with the rock edgeing around our gardens and also mixed in with the hebes
and other native plants.
Here are some
that we have not yet been able to identify and would appreciate any help
with this.
anemathele lessionana
carex buchanaii
chionochloa flavicans
unknown 4
we suspect unknown
4 may be the juvinile version of unknown 2
so any help would
be appreciated.
