Although finished in 1997, this story is the result of a number of events which took place as  far back as the 60's. Life is something of a  journey from this bunker to that bunker. Some may shelter soldiers from the common enemy. Some are simply full of unraked sand.

Jack Shepherd is a good lawyer with an awful  social conscience. Worn down trying to defend those supposedly less fortunate than himself, he embarks on a journey of self discovery, Indian beauty, chess and the Beatles.

Making connections with the past, present and future through a poem written by his late Great Uncle, and a Holy Man with a mysterious message, Jack rakes over some real gems from the past and when he meets Uma, a chain smoking goddess, his destiny is declared, once and for all.
