Well, not much planning has been happening. To tell the truth, I've been quite busy being invovled in Cassys wedding. The hens night occurred over the weekend and went off fine for the most part. I've also been to lots of fittings for the bridesmaid dress. Also, the urgency to plan minute details doesn't seem to be there, I just think the wedding will work out nice anyway whether I stress or not.
Michael and I have decided to split the wedding up over two days, the 13th (friday the 13th!) and the 14th of May 2005. We will be having the ceremony on the Friday night, and then have a bridal party and family only dinner. The following night we will have a big party, just like our engagement party.
St Johns in Wellington still sounds like a good church choice, we haven't spoken to the pastor yet though or made any bookings. For the dinner we've checked out a few places and yet to firm up our minds. The party is likely to be at the Hutt Golf club again seeing as they did such a good job last time. We'll need to think of a different decorating scheme though. The diner venue might be at Lonestar in their private dining room, we are checking about noise levels though.
Michael hasn't quite asked either of his brothers (or anyone else) yet to be groomsmen. At this stage I just have Cassy, but there is someone else I'd like to ask, but I have to wait and see whether a) Michaels asks anyone, and b) whether this friend is interested.
The photographer is available for the 13th, although it was a bit nervewrecking waiting to find out. Probably won't bother now to get a video done, seeing as the day is split up.
I put all our engagement greeting cards into an album recently. They look cute. It's been nice to flip through the book a bit and check them all out.
Haven't started cutting out the dress or anything yet. It was fun shopping for all the fabric with Mum though. I just realised that I've got all my clothes except for a veil. I guess I'll also need to get a frock for the party too. I might be able to re-use Cassys contacts - her hair girl and makeup girl are both really good.
There are heaps of other things to decide and book....we'll keep you up to date!
