Oamaru's Historic Quarter

A very successful week in Masterton in February has seen the Hobday/Matla pipe organ in St. Matthew's church dismantled, loaded into two furniture trucks, brought down to Oamaru, and stored in St. Patrick's basilica in preparation for cleaning and overhauling later in the year.

Discussing a tricky move with Adam and Ian

We have recently been given the tuning contract for St. Stephen's Presbyterian, Ilam, Christchurch, and will also be cleaning out the console and adjusting the action.  Preparations are under way for restoration work at Otakeho, completion of the overhaul at Eltham, remedial work to pipework at Waverley in March, and the Morrinsville overhaul in April.  We have also been invited to submit proposals to a number of churches and schools throughout the country.  A number of positive responses have been received following the second broadcast of the Oamaru segment of Praise Be!

Altogether, we have a busy few months ahead!
