We were pleasantly surprised to find that our assisant Joe had returned from Scotland to attend a funeral and was able to join us for a few days tuning around Auckland and Taranaki before heading home again.  He will be returning in July to help with contracts in Auckland and Thames.

Since returning to Oamaru in the middle of June, Ron has been busy preparing for the organ recital for the 125th anniversary celebrations at Waitaki Boys' High School, on July 5th.  The programme combines music by Douglas Lilburn, an Old Boy, with that of Vaughan Williams (his teacher in London), and poems by Charles Brasch, another Old Boy, and a stirring March specially composed for the occasion, in honour of Frank Milner.

We are very pleased to announce that the New Zealand Organ Manufactory has been given the tuning and maintenance of the organs in Holy Trinity Cathedral and St. Mary's Church, in Parnell, Auckland.  The cathedral organ, a three-manual Harrison & Harrison, will be given a thorough re-pitching, scaling and tuning later in July.
