8 March 2001:

Dear Ron, on behalf of the parishioners of St. Andrew thank you very much for arranging the delightful organ recital by David Burchell.  The organ sounded wonderful.

Judy Smith, St. Andrew's Anglican, Maheno.

31 October, 2004:

Hi, Ron.  Just a quick word to say that I'm very pleased with the tuning of the organ. We're celebrating 20 years of its installation and I can say that it has never sounded in better tune or been so rewarding to play... Whatever you're doing, the instrument seems to stay in better tune as a whole... thank you again for your excellent service.

Michael Zon, Organist, St. Joseph's Catholic, Papanui.

15 November, 2004:

Hi Ron, what a delight to be able to listen to what you are playing while the Congregation is singing. The increase in volume and tone was extremely noticeable. There were a number of very favourable comments after the service on Sunday... Once again thank you very much for the work you carried out, it obviously was long overdue for an overhaul.

Brent Garnet, Organist and Treasurer, Rangiora Methodist.

25 September, 2005:

Hello Ron,

I would just like to thank you very much for your prompt attention to our organ at St John's. The tuning has made quite a difference to the sound quality, and I really appreciate the adjustments that you have made to the swell pedal.

Regards, Sue Munro, Organist, St. John's Presbyterian, Rotorua.

1 November, 2005:

Hi Ron,

We would like to thank you and your team for all the work and dedicated effort applied when you worked on renovating our pipe organ at the Morrinsville Methodist Church. The quality of your workmanship shows up in the clarity of tone of the organ and it is great to have such a lovely sounding oboe again. It is a pleasure and a privilege to play.

Most of us only have a very basic knowledge of the workings of a pipe organ and you were always willing to stop and explain what you were doing to anyone you showed an interest and that was very much appreciated.

We look forward to more visits and improvements in the future.

Kindest regards.

Glenis Westbury, Organist, Morrinsville Methodist.

30 August, 2006:

Dear Mr Newton,

We are thrilled with our cleaned & overhauled music box & are very grateful to you, & to Philip Norman for telling us about you!  The grandchildren love dancing to the tinkley sounds.

Thankyou very much,

Elisabeth Eliott, Fendalton.

4 August, 2007:

I have had first-hand experience of the work of the New Zealand Organ Manufactory and have no hesitation in attesting to its quality.

Our dealings [at St. Mary Immaculate in Tauranga] with Dr. Newton during this year have been straight-forward and the cost of ongoing tuning and maintenance from his company is extremely reasonable. I am also aware that other churches are contracting the New Zealand Organ Manufactory to tune, maintain and overhaul their instruments as the quality of their workmanship is becoming better known.

Before contracting the New Zealand Organ Manufactory to do work for us in Tauranga, I spoke to Douglas Mews, organ tutor at Victoria University about it. He had no hesitation in recommending Dr. Newton. Douglas Mews (himself a Catholic church organist and composer) had recently given a recital on the organ of St. Luke's Anglican Church, Havelock North. He told me that Dr. Newton's work in overhauling that instrument was extremely thorough.  Victoria University also contracts Dr. Newton to maintain their instruments.

Ken Joblin, Organist and Seminarian, Ponsonby.

3 October, 2008:

Dear Ron,

Just a note to say a massive thank you on behalf of us all here for the last 3 days of tuning. The cathedral organ has never sounded so fine. I would like to thank you for your complete attention to detail. Many people who were working in the building have commented on your thoroughness with the task and were most impressed.

Every good wish,

Philip Smith, Cathedral Organist, Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland.

31 July, 2009:

I recently gave a recital on the organ of Holy Trinity Cathedral in Auckland, an instrument of which I gained an intimate knowledge, having formerly been Organ Scholar and Assistant Organist there. Since Dr. Ron Newton and the New Zealand Organ Manufactory have taken over the maintenance of the instrument it has never sounded better. In the days leading up to my recital Dr. Newton worked tirelessly to ensure the instrument sounded as good as possible. In my experience of playing recitals in many venues in many countries I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Ron Newton's work as being of an international standard.

5 August, 2009:

Dear Ron

Since you began tuning our organ in 2007, I have been delighted with your prompt service, and your proactive maintenance. Rather than waiting until something needs repairing you tell me in advance, and fix it where you can. This allows us to have a planned maintenance programme, which saves us a lot of money in the long run.

The organ sounds beautiful since you have retuned it for us, and I have had parishioners come up to tell me that they can never recall the organ sounding so good.

I would have no hesitation in recommending you to any parish.

On behalf of a very thankful church.

James Mist, Music Director, St Michaels and All Angels Church, Kelburn, Wellington.
