The purpose of this site is to make contact with family and friends throughout the world. To make new friends, to share interests and to exchange information of a common interest.
Bernard was born in Rowley Regis, Staffordshire, England and emigrated to New Zealand in 1963. He sailed in the 'SS Southern Cross' from Southampton (via Panama) departing at 3 pm on the 28th May 1963 and arriving in Wellington New Zealand at 9am 1 July 1963.
He lived in Auckland NZ until 1965 and then moved to Christchurch in the South Island of New Zealand where he still lives.
In 1982 he was appointed a Justice of the Peace by the Minister of Justice for New Zealand.
Faye was born in Wellington New Zealand and is one of 14 children. Her mother is of English and Scottish descent and her father from the village of Hakupu, Niue.
Bernard and Faye have four sons who are all married and have each blessed them with grandchildren.
Faye and Bernard visited England (and a quick trip to Paris) in 1992. It was as a result of this trip and a desire to find their roots that they developed an Interest in genealogy and a determination to make a perfect English pork pie. See the recipe on this site
