New Zealand has a network of remote hydrological sites that collect information about rainfall, river stage (height), and meteorological observations. Many regional councils are making this data available to the public, and this web page is my effort at documenting these rainfall / river flow websites. The ‘hydroline’ phone services give a snapshot of the current situation; they compliment the online information but lack the history and rapid comprehension provided by graphs. Beware that between regional councils they display the data in different formats, and the big difference is river flow (cubic metres per second) or river stage (height in mm)
The rating system is purely my own opinion, but I did borrow the idea from Steve Rosie
