This was an attempt at a more naturalistic, muted style, after painting a few too many bright models. Lots of bones, browns and greys offset with a bright blood red make this quite a neat model, still one of my favourites although it was sold quite some time ago. I used the Chaos glyphs from the army book to decorate the horse's barding, each large panel actually has a meaning, which all put together (and loosely interpreted) forms a kind of prophecy about the end of the world. It's supposed to be about the rise of Archaon, it was just something a little fun to make the model more interesting.
