Travelling
to Barnstay
The entrance to Barnstay is on SH1 half way between Waikanae and Otaki. If you are travelling from the south (Wellington), you need to go through Waikanae and then watch
for Te Hapua Road, about 7 kilometres north on your left. Don't go down this road, but keep going a few hundred metres on SH1 and you will see the entrance to 621 Barnstay.
Coming
from the north, you will need to go through Otaki and travel for
a further 8 kilometres. It's best to turn into Te Hapua Road, on your
right, and come back up SH1 to
the Barnstay entrance.
There
are supermarkets in both Waikanae and Otaki if you need to buy food before
you
arrive. There is also an organic market garden for fruit and vegetables
nearby.
