The Renaissance Aotearoa Foundation founding purposes include
for the promotion of social and economic development and well being of the people of New Zealand;
for the promotion of industry, commerce and art in New Zealand for the benefit of the people of New Zealand and
for the creation of opportunities for the people of New Zealand to obtain, maintain and improve their vocational, educational and entrepreneurial skills, knowledge and expertise
These purposes are realised using a practical, innovative business approach. The coherent business methodologies proven in western civilisation provide useful, effective tools. We stand outside religious, political or economic affiliation.
Having affirmed this, we also find that Maori values as enshrined in "tikanga" are among the most effective models we have found for sustainable, meaningful business development. The effectiveness of these values and principles are found not when translated into English (western thought), but when western thought is married with Oceanic thought. We regard the present legal status of Aotearoa / New Zealand to be significant. With two legal languages, one that grew out of the European Renaissance and the other out of ancient Oceanic wisdom, we find a powerful synergy and out of this synergy came name, Renaissance Aotearoa Foundation.
