Information: Apoplexy is a small no-income label curated by me, Peter Wright. Releases thus far have reflected my musical trajectories since 1997 or thereabouts, exploring avant-noise, electro-acoustic improvisation, drones, lo-fi buzz & electronics. Releases are predominantly in the form of limited edition CDRs & even more limited lathe cut records. A move to commercially pressed CD releases could be on the horizon, but we need to eat first.

Ordering: To order any of the available recordings it would be best if you could email first to check on stock. If I don't have any copies left, there is a possibility one of the distributors listed below still has something. Payment can be in the form of well concealed cash, either in NZ$ or the equivalent in US$ or UK„, but I'd prefer a cheque. Please make out all cheques to PETER WRIGHT. Demos: Apoplexy has for the most part existed only as a label for my own musical outings & was initially limited to projects I had a personal hand in, but things have changed & I'm now also putting out music from other sources I feel an afinity with. I've got more than enough projects lined up to last me until I go deaf but if you feel the futile need to send me something you've made (cd/minidisc only; no tapes) & you think it fits what Apoplexy is about I will listen & I may even email a response, but we are (mostly) a cdr label with an audience of about 30 people worldwide so don't expect anything more than a polite hello... pestering won't work either, although money has been known to speak volumes... & if you want to trade I could be into that as well.
