"I wanted to create a CD where the arrangements were simple and uncluttered, something that was true to the way I play, not only in a live situation, but also at two in the morning when it's just an acoustic guitar and me. I wanted there to be space to give the songs room to breath, because sometimes the notes that aren't played are as important as the notes that are. It's this simplicity and this room to breath that gives the music the ability to connect with the listener in a more direct way."
"I have believed many different things regarding religion over time, most of these things have caused nothing but pain to myself and to others. I have in the past been a zealot, a fanatic and I shudder when I think of the things I've said and done. As time goes by and I start to peel away the layers of false teaching, legalism, self delusion, brainwashing and all the lies I've been taught and that I've believed, I find that I still belive in God, in Jesus and in salvation. The difference is that now I don't belive in all the "extra" things that have been taught to me in churches and through tapes, books and videos. "Just believe" is my statement of faith, I hope it highlights the simplicity of belief in God."
