Toasty Stories

If you have any stories to share from Toastmasters which has had an impact on your everyday life or helped in your work please feel free to email or let me know. You don’t need to write a novel, just give me a few facts, a few details and I will whip something up edible, I mean readable.

Toastmasters is more than a club it’s like a company. A company that may not have sophisticated office furniture or equipment, but works on a simple yet effective procedure. When you come to Toastmasters you are literally doing “on the job training” in a friendly and supportive environment. As we are all learning from one another we are in effect all role models.

You’re buying into the company by paying to join. It’s important you contribute and have your say about what’s important to you, what you would like to see more of, or done differently. Tell us what you need to succeed? All ideas and suggestions will be taken into consideration and feedback given. In fact a membership survey is underway and will be passed to you in the near future. This is a great opportunity to have your say. So please take some time to complete it and provide us with some honest feedback.

We are keen to hear from you because you make the difference. We are all shareholders and the investment is in you. When you invest in yourself the dividends will pay off and you’ll reap the rewards. Take a risk!

Well, Toastmasters that’s it from me, I’m off overseas for about four weeks so enjoy your meetings and remember the more you participate, the more you’ll communicate.

The more you communicate, the more you’ll educate yourself. The more you educate yourself, the more motivated you will be to succeed.

Cheers
Caroline Luey
VP Public Relations

(At the moment please do not email me at my BNZ address until beginning of November when I’ll be back)
