Tauherenikau Hut (below) was destroyed by Fire in about 1972. These pictures were taken about the mid 60's.

With Powell Hut at the top of Mt Holdsworth.
 
 

In the cloud behind me you can see the trig. Mt Holdsworth is often in cloud.

Above, we go up the Ruamahanga River to Roaring Stag Hut.  In which we play chess on rainy days.
