Almost another Centre Title  Congratulations to Mike Reid and Mark Hall on being runner up in the Auckland Bowls Champion of Champion Pairs. The guys lost to the Carlton duo of Wally Marsic and Petar Sain in the final.

Almost a Centre Title  Congratulations to Emma Waerehu on being runner up in the Auckland Women's Bowling Centre Masters Singles. Emma lost to Maria Broadbent of Pakuranga in the final.

Fearless Fred does it again  90 year old 'Fearless' Fred Thomson hits the news again with his latest accomplishment of participating in the 'Round the Bays' run again this year. Successfully completing the course and beating his record of last year by a massive ten minutes, but rumour has it that he would have done better if his sandal hadn't snapped.

EFTPOS is here  EFTPOS is now installed in the club. The rules are very simple: NO credit cards, NO cheques, NO questions. There is a $30 general limit on cash out; more may be given at the barman's discretion.
