| When sorting out some boxes in the garage some time ago I discovered some ancient historical documents … well they were close to 30 years old!
Back in the late 1970s I was one of the founders of a wargames group called the Kapiti Military Miniatures Society (KMMS), which was based in Paraparumu, north of Wellington. From 1977 – to 1979 the KMMS produced a club magazine called the Kapiti Kourier – eleven issues were published (at least that’s how many I found) and there they were in the bottom of a box gathering dust.

This was a very upmarket piece of literature – typed and printed on an old hand operated machine (which I recall took forever), but packed with the contributions from our readers. Among the articles, stories, illustrations we ran a series of plans for wargame buildings, which are reproduced below - they’ll download as pdfs and print out on an A4 sheet of paper. Unfortunately some of the pages were very poor copies (we only had a limited budget) and I had to reduce the files to a reasonable size - so some touching up to the illustrations may be required if you want to build these structures. |
