Adam's Family History
The Cameron Family.
Angus CAMERON married Anne MCINTYRE. They had a son John CAMERON who married Janet MCGREGOR.
They emigrated to Wellington, New Zealand aboard the Blenheim in 1840.
Eventually they moved to the Turakina district. John and Janet were married around 1806, in Morven, Scotland.
Their children were John, Angus, Charles, Duncan, Allan, Ann, Archibald, Dugald, and Marjory (Mysie).
They must have been good Christians judging from a memorial found inside the church in Turakina,
"To the glory of God and in the memory of John and Jeanet Cameron our great grandparents. The first service to be held in the parish held outside their residence 15 December 1852."

John CAMERON married Mary ROBERTSON. John CAMERON married Mary CAMERON (Nee Robertson) in 1862, Wellington New Zealand. It appears that Mary married a Mitchell then a Cameron before then marrying John CAMERON. We have just discovered that Mary Robertson had seven sisters. John and Mary had the following children. Marjory McGregor, Frances Mitchell and Janet CAMERON. An American source has suggested another daughter called Isobel. We have not been able to confirm this as yet. It is believed that Mary had an existing child called Maggie Mitchell to a previous husband.
