Welcome to Tony's Cars and Kayaks web page. As you can see I have a few different interests but they all involve building things, there is something about the knowledge that "this was built with my own two hands" that gives me a major buzz. Over the last three years I've built two Chesapeake 16's, a Cunningham Greenland style skin on frame, a Bobby Curtis designed Sea Spirit, a SOF Baidarka and we are just about to start a Mac 50L..
Building a kayak is an experience I highly recommend to anyone.

We have another couple of kayaks underway. Kate is building a Mac 50L and I'm doing a Greenland rolling SOF.

The New Zealand Kayak Builders Get Together (NZKBGT) is on again in February 2007, so if you are interested in kayak building come along. Check out the website for further info

Cars are something I have been interested in since I left school, Single Seat Racing Cars being my favourite. I have worked for some clever people over the years, so i'll give you a rundown of what, where, who,and how.

The site is always being fine tuned, so check back regularly for updates.

Have fun looking around and I hope you enjoy this site as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

The Sea Spirit has taken a while but it is just about finished and I've started another kayak. The new kayak is a Baidarka loosely based on the MAE-593, hopefully this one won't take so long.
