Office Administrator |
I was born in Bluff and educated in Invercargill. I started work in the NZ Post Office clerical branch as a shorthand-typist and then secretary to a consulting engineer before marrying husband Bill and emigrating to Canada. We lived in Canada for four years wher I worked as a stenographer and then as a Secretary for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
After four years in Canada we moved back to New Zealand before starting a family. We have two daughters now 28 and 30.years old. Living in Invercargill on our return I worked in a variety of secretarial and office administration positions including the Court House, Justice Department, Licensing Trust amongst others. I also helped Bill in two businesses, before we moved to Nelson in 1985. 13 years ago I began working in a local accounting firm as receptionist/secretary and have been working at A1 Accounting Ltd as Office Administrator from June 2000 to April 2003 when their name changed to Accounting Tasman Ltd. I continue to hold that position.
I have been involved in the Guiding movement, Round Table service club and teaching Sunday school.
